The Pennine Rendezvous

The Pennine Rendezvous is being resurrected by Kirklees Bridleways Group’s new chairman, Mark Corrigan.  For those to young to know, the Pennine Rendezvous was an annual pleasure ride held in the South Pennines from 1989 to 2003, with rides attracting between 60 and 130 riders.

Each year the Rendezvous was hosted by a different group. The format was simple: a central venue was chosen for the Rendezvous itself and local groups then worked out a route to the venue and a route home – preferably by a different way.

Fundraising Fashion Show

We are organising a fundraising fashion show to raise funds for our group. Funds raised will contribute towards the cost of pathways which will benefit not only horse riders, but also walkers and cyclists.

The evening will feature a fashion show from local ladies wear fashion shop, Chainreaxtion but host a number of stalls from local businesses, including:-
-The Huntsman Inn
– Equiflair Saddlery
-Chainreaxtion
-Taylor Hughes Hairdressing
-System Vision
-The Grape Room
And Many more.

We will also be holding a raffle and auction for a whole host of exciting prizes including:

Seventy Acres

Seventy Acres, Honley  the gates have been fitted with new catches, a catch that can be operated from horseback with the  catch /lever on the top of the gate so the rider does not have to bend so low as to risk being unbalanced.
